Size Guide: How Big Should 3D Letters Be?
The ideal letter height depends on viewing distance and use. Rule of thumb: the further away and the larger the wall, the taller the letters. We produce heights from 6 to 500 mm – the configurator shows every size to scale in the 3D preview.
Recommended heights by use
Door / name sign: 30–80 mm. Shelf and table decor: 60–150 mm. Wall lettering (nursery, living room): 80–200 mm. Reception / company wall: 100–250 mm. Photo backdrop & events: from 200 mm, up to 500 mm.
Mind the viewing distance
As a rough guide, letter height should increase with distance: what's read from 1–2 m can be smaller; what must work across several metres (trade show, large reception wall) needs 300 mm and up.
Long words & proportion
For long names or words, choose slightly smaller letters so the whole sign fits the surface. The 3D preview shows the real width and helps check proportion.
